South of the Clouds was founded in 2017 by Patrick & Yisha. The husband & wife duo saw the opportunity to enter the noodle joint market due to the absence of authentic Yunnan rice noodles in Boston. The food Yisha misses dearly from her hometown in Dali, Yunnan China.

还珠格格向往的彩云之南,终于降临波士顿。

        小时候,活动范围仅限于以家为中心的一方小天地,电视机成为了窥探世界的窗口。不断滚动播放的还珠格格,承载了无数人童年最深刻的回忆。这段回忆中最精彩的部分莫过于逃亡去大理的情节。云南原本就是拥有神秘色彩的地 方,彩云之南的风情已足够迷人,小燕子黑白分明的大眼睛里盛满对大理的向往,更是 让大理一跃成为许多人魂牵梦萦的目的地。


         而今,来自大理的老板娘把云南最正宗的味道搬进了波 士顿。小燕子历经磨难才得以品尝的味道,身在异乡的 我们却触手可及,简直是今夏最激动人心的消息了。这家新开业的彩云之南主打云南米线。


          提到云南米线,很多人会首先想到过桥米线,但这里经营的则是另一流派,小锅米线。店里使用手 工敲制的铜锅,全部从云南人肉背回,将云南菜的 独到风味还原得淋漓尽致。作为店里的主打,砂锅米线可以说是必点项目。一锅香气扑 鼻的砂锅端上桌,光是色泽就让人食指大动。弹软的米线吸饱香浓的汤汁,入口的每一 秒都是幸福的体验。


       缺少了小菜,怎么能算完 满的一餐?这里的香酥肉 表皮酥脆而嚼劲十足,淋上柠檬再蘸上椒盐,一口难忘。夫妻肺片由老板娘来自重庆的母亲独创,俗话说“十家锅灶九不同”,这个味道别 家绝对找不到。 信息爆炸的今天,云南的神秘感逐渐散去,但独属于云南的味道,却一直像是遥遥挂在彩云南端的小曲,从未停歇。一碗米线,能不能勾起你心头 对云南的印记?  试试就知道。

Yunnan, a province in Southwestern China that is renowned for their ethnic minority culture and food that has yet to expand globally across the western hemisphere. Patrick & Yisha always felt Boston foodies are being "shortchanged" when it comes to type of noodles that are offered here. Typically the only noodles that comes to mind are Pho, or Ramen. We want everyone that appreciates authentic food to try our noodles and discover the beauty of Yunnan culture & cuisine.
